Rob's Painting & Decorating, Wollongong: 25 Years of Painting Across the Illawarra
14 Oct 2026
Rob's Painting & Decorating is a painting and decorating business based in Wollongong, working on homes and commercial properties across the Illawarra. If you've been looking at a tired hallway, a weatherbeaten fence line or a shopfront that's lost its freshness, this is the kind of local trade you'd call to talk it through.
The business has been painting homes and commercial properties across the Illawarra for 25 years. That's a long run in any trade, and in painting in particular it means a quarter of a century of dealing with the realities of local properties: coastal exposure, older weatherboard and brick homes, newer builds, and everything in between. Experience like that tends to show up in the preparation work, which is the part of a paint job most people never see but always feel the effects of a few years down the track.
The work covers interior and exterior painting, along with decks, driveways and more. That mix is handy if you've got a few jobs stacking up at once. Rather than chasing separate trades for the inside repaint, the deck that needs attention and the driveway that's seen better days, you can have the one business look at the lot. It's also useful for commercial property owners who need presentation kept up without juggling multiple contractors.
Quotes are free, so there's no cost in simply asking what a job might involve. A pensioner discount is also offered, which is worth knowing if you or a family member are on a pension and have been putting off work because of the expense. It's a straightforward gesture, and a reasonably common one among long-standing local trades who want to look after the people in their own area.
The approach is summed up by the business itself: "We're not happy until you're happy." It's a simple line, but it points to a willingness to stay on a job until the finish is right, rather than packing up and moving on.
For anyone who likes to check the paperwork before booking a trade, and you should, Rob's Painting & Decorating holds NSW contractor licence 203497c and operates under ABN 59 781 403 677. Those details are easy to verify, and having them stated upfront makes the first conversation a simpler one.
Whether it's a single room, a full exterior repaint, a deck that needs reviving or a commercial property due for a refresh, it's worth getting a quote and seeing what's involved. You can find Rob's Painting & Decorating on their Illawarra's Best page, where the contact details are listed so you can get in touch directly and arrange a free quote.
