Burek On Wentworth

I’m from Karratha W.A & head back to visit family in Wollongong each year. When I do I have 1 food stop I make as soon as I get into town & Its Burek on Wentworth. I can’t say what all the different Burek flavours are like because I only ever get the meat & cheese but going off how good that one is I’m sure they’d all be good. I’ve been coming here for 20+ years since Steve owned the place & I’ve never been disappointed. The people in there now are very friendly & efficient & the Burek may even be slightly better (sorry Steve). Do yourself a favour & take the detour, make the trip, so worth it.

Burek here is pretty good. They make some non traditional varieties which work really well. Chorizo and jalapeño is a great one as is mega meat if your a meat lovers pizza kind of person. Have tried almost all flavours and always great. The service is nice and the prices are reasonable. I always make an effort to pop in here when I am passing through to/from Sydney and recently found them open on a Sunday which was so good after a morning fishing trip! Highly recommend you give them a go if you enjoy burek and if you haven’t tried burek, you are seriously missing out!

The burek is soooo good! Having only had burek once before I didn’t know what to expect. This was so good. The ladies working there are super nice. Highly recommended

Tried my first burek here today and it was so good!!! We shared a bacon cheese and onion, and a kransky and jalapeño and they were both delightful, served so warm with so much flavour and spice. The portions are huge for a great price and the owners were beautiful and make you feel very welcome. We will definitely be back!!
