a month agoA central Greek restaurant that looks great on the outside, decent on the inside. We ordered lamb soulvaki and vegetarian mezze. Veggie mezze was amazing, portion size was impressive and food was full of flavor. Lamb soulvaki, unfortunately, felt underwhelming. It was essentially a plate full of plain chips, a tiny portion of greek salad and two sticks of decent lamb. Given the price, it felt a bit behind. See photo: does it look worth $32? Sure, lamb is pricy, but a larger portion of salad or some flare and spices for the chips would make it worth it more me. Dessert display looked stunning, but we didnt get a chance to try the sweets, perhaps next time!

2 months agoWe went on a Friday night before at show at the IPAC. Perfect location just a short walk. We booked for 6 and no wait for us at all. Simple but diverse menu and the staff were friendly. We had the seafood share but needed the prawns served separately which was no problem. The food was delicious the best octopus my wife has had. Very reasonably priced. Will be back for sure.

7 months agoGreat wide selection of food & cocktails on the menu.. their platters are a great way to try new foods you are not sure of. The dessert menu is extensive with big & little cakes. I booked here with my husband on a band night & they were great but took a very long break while we were still eating & didn't return before we finished so didn't get to enjoy them for long. I expected the whole room or at least half to be up dancing the way they advertised it, but it was only a handful of ppl so I was too shy to join, which is a shame as I had been looking forward to it. It was nice to see some people doing a traditionsl dance with their bday celebration. On a Saturday night they are busy with alot more attention to detail & service, but late on a Sunday we felt like we were being kicked out with things slammed on our table, chairs packed up around us, kitchen staff smoking out front with the smoke wafting to outside tables & staff swearing at the cashier. It was a very different atmosphere. The first 2 times the owner was greeting us & helping the staff. Maybe the owner wasnt there on Sunday & that was the result. Disappointing as I had high hopes for this place. The lights in the elfesco dining area are lovely. I'll probably go back again for the food experience, just hope the service is better next time & the band stay on longer. The band seem to be a rare event though as it advertised out the front to book ahead.

4 months agoLunch mid week, rather quite, I'm sure this place would look better at night with the lighting. Food was very ordinary, though a good serve. We shared the Litani platter, plenty to eat, but not very flavoursome. Strawberry mojito good and so was the coffee.

a year agoWe were recommended by a friend to come here and now we know why! The homemade lemon lime & bitters was so refreshing and set the tone for a great meal. The bruschetta was the best we’ve had in a long time – crunchy but soft and yet the pita bread stayed soft, unlike other places. For mains, we shared the mixed meat grill for two and it was perfect – just the right amount, tender meat, and seasoning absolutely on point. We both left completely full and even left a $10 tip at the end because we were so impressed. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, checking in on tables without being intrusive. Overall, a fantastic dining experience – highly recommend!
