5 months agoI’ve been bringing my Women Love Adventure Kiama group to Dynomite Albion Park since August 2025, regularly organising groups of 6–11 (often more) from a community of over 2,400 local women in the Illawarra Region. This is a community I’ve built organically, volunteering my own time without pay. As part of our collaboration, I’ve actively promoted the gym through social media, word-of-mouth, and by introducing many women to climbing for the first time, with an agreed group discounted rate in place. Unfortunately, my experience — particularly more recently — has been extremely disappointing. Despite having an agreed arrangement, the terms were changed without any direct communication. I have made multiple attempts to contact Alice via email to understand why this change occurred without notice; however, my emails have gone unanswered. This lack of communication has left junior staff in the difficult position of delivering this news, which is unfair on them and reflects poorly on management. It’s also worth noting the loss of standout staff such as Nick and Jayden, who were both professional, knowledgeable, and a great asset to the gym. On arrival for a recent session (this Tuesday), after bringing a group of 13 paying attendees, I was informed at the front desk that the agreement would no longer be honoured. This was not only unexpected, but placed me in an uncomfortable and unprofessional position in front of my group. Changes to agreed terms should be communicated clearly and directly — not left for customers to discover upon arrival. The continued lack of response to follow-up emails has only added to the frustration and highlights ongoing issues with communication and management. It’s particularly disappointing, as my intention has always been to support local businesses and create positive, inclusive experiences for my community. However, professionalism, transparency, and respect are essential in any working relationship — and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.

a year agoSpent a few hours here for my birthday as I've always wanted to try bouldering since I was a kid and it did not disappoint. So much variety on the different climbs, all colour coded from easy to hard to make it much easier to know which climbs to try. Was definitely enough to keep me going. The only reason I left was because I had taken skin off my hands from all the climbing. Was a great experience and I think I have found a new hobby. The staff member was friendly and encouraging, explained everything and all the safety procedures. Toilets and shower on premises also.
